The Jewellery Quarter BID (JQBID) is proud to announce the launch of its latest creative project, Where Individuality Shines, a new film series dedicated to celebrating the people, passion, and talent that make the Jewellery Quarter one of the most distinctive places in the UK.
Commissioned by the JQBID and brought to life by videographer Carl Woods, the project features a series of short films spotlighting a diverse range of individuals from across the Quarter. From skilled artisans and independent business owners to creatives and innovators, each film captures the unique stories, journeys, and personalities that define the area.
Where Individuality Shines aims to go beyond the traditional narrative of place, focusing instead on the individuals who give the Jewellery Quarter its character and energy. Through authentic storytelling and cinematic visuals, the series offers an intimate look into the lives and work of those shaping the district today.
In addition to the films, the project also includes an inclusive storytelling platform, inviting others within the community to share their own experiences and perspectives. This dedicated section ensures that even more voices from the Jewellery Quarter can be heard, further reflecting the richness and diversity of the area.
A new film will be released monthly, with audiences encouraged to follow along and discover new stories as they unfold.
Luke Crane – CEO of The Jewellery Quarter BID says
“Where Individuality Shines is about celebrating the people behind the businesses, the makers behind the craft, and the personalities that make the Jewellery Quarter truly unique. This project gives them a platform to share their stories in their own words.”
The series is now live and available to watch via the JQBID’s digital platforms.
