Looking for something to do this February? The Jewellery Quarter has a varied line-up of events, exhibitions and experiences taking place throughout the month. Take a look at what’s on and plan your visit.

Birmingham Light Festival

This 12th-15th February, the city will shine brighter than ever as Birmingham Light Festival returns, transforming streets and spaces with stunning light installations.

New for 2026, Firefly Field will bring a delicate glow to the green space of St. Paul’s Churchyard. Delicate points of light will drift and flicker, creating a mesmerising scene inspired by the subtle movements of fireflies.

And make sure to give our legacy installation “Ideas Happen Here” on Newhall Square a visit if you haven’t seen it yet!

Valentines at Splash Art Republic

Celebrate Valentine’s differently at Splash Art Republic with a seasonal creative experience made to enjoy together.

Friday 13th – Start the weekend with a Galentine’s keyring pour art session, creating your own mini masterpiece with unlimited paint colours, glitter and BYOB vibes.

Saturday 14th – Make it unforgettable with a Share-a-Bear experience: decorate one large 33 cm bear and two keyrings. Glitter and paint colours included, and it’s BYOB too.

Sunday 15th – Wrap up the weekend with a Paint your date evening: enjoy wine (or your favourite drink), all materials supplied and guidance from a studio artist, perfect for a relaxed, creative date night.

Masters of Sabbath

Get ready to worship at the altar of heavy riffs: Masters of Sabbath are storming the Actress and Bishop on February 6th at 8pm!

Expect thunderous drums, face-melting guitar, and enough doom-laden groove to make even Ozzy raise an eyebrow. Grab your mates, polish your black leather, and prepare for a night that’ll shake Birmingham harder than a misplaced bass amp.

Side Dish

Side Dish is a new pop-up event series launching in Birmingham this February, bringing together great food, surprise live comedy and fundraising for local charity, Anawim. Hosted across local restaurants, pizzerias and casual dining venues, each Side Dish night centres around a specially curated menu before comedy appears at a surprise moment during the evening – sometimes before food, sometimes after, sometimes woven throughout.
