Wednesday 10th December 2025 – Urban Emporiums, one of the Jewellery Quarter’s most loved cafés, is celebrating an exciting milestone today as it marks 15 years since opening its doors. Known for its speciality coffee, relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and a menu rooted in classic comfort food, Urban has become a staple for locals, commuters, and weekend brunchers alike.
Founded in 2009, Urban began with a simple belief on being able to serve high end coffee and brunch without any of the pretention. Their menu has remained true to that ethos ever since. As they say,
“At Urban we make comfort food. Not fancy food, or try-hard food. Comfort food. The stuff your mind goes to when you’re hungry. The food you crave to soothe a bad day or celebrate a good one.”
Today, that vision continues with all-day brunches showcasing quality ingredients — poached eggs on sourdough, French toast stacked high, omelettes, hashes, and the occasional sausage or two! Whether it’s something hearty or something lighter to keep temptation at bay, Urban covers it all, with cakes, coffee, wine and beer rounding out their offering.
To celebrate their 15th anniversary, Urban will be giving customers a few special treats throughout the day:
⭐ Every 15th customer will receive a £5 gift card to be used in our emporium and valid for the next 12 months
🧁 Homemade mini cakes by chef Carla will be given out with every hot drink purchased (while they last)
☕ Double loyalty card stamps will be given with each regular hot drink purchase
