Get ready to kick off the festive season in style as The Jewellery Quarter celebrates the 10TH ANNIVERSARY of its iconic Christmas Light Switch On!
Taking place on Friday 14th November, from 5pm to 7pm, this milestone event promises an unforgettable evening packed with sparkle, live music, and the return of the spectacular fireworks display, launched once again from the rooftop of JQ Modern.
This year’s switch-on marks a very special celebration for The Jewellery Quarter community, as the event enters its 10th year of bringing festive magic to Birmingham’s historic heart. Visitors can look forward to over 100 jewellery-themed festive lights illuminating the streets, alongside two spectacular 30-foot Christmas trees.
The festivities will officially begin on Golden Square at 5pm, with live music from The Black Jeans and Elle-J Walters, creating the perfect party atmosphere. At 6pm, a special guest will light up the Jewellery Quarter and set off the breath-taking fireworks display that has become one of the city’s favourite festive traditions.
Our fantastic local independents around the square will be serving plenty of festive treats and drinks to keep you warm and fuelled throughout the evening. There will also be delicious Caribbean Street Food from Esmies. And best of all, the entire event is completely free and open to everyone.
