The Jewellery Quarter will once again be raising a glass as JQ Beer Weekend makes its return for its fourth year, from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th April 2026. Organised by The Jewellery Quarter BID (JQBID), the three-day celebration will bring together 26 pubs, bars and breweries from across the area, showcasing the very best of the Quarter’s hospitality scene.
Now a firm fixture in the local events calendar, JQ Beer Weekend invites visitors to explore the area one pint at a time. From historic boozers and neighbourhood locals to modern craft beer bars and on-site breweries, the event highlights the incredible variety of venues found within the Jewellery Quarter.
As part of the weekend, visitors can pick up a JQ Beer Weekend sticker book from any participating venue. Each drink purchase (including non-alcoholic options) earns a sticker, and those who collect six stickers from six different venues can redeem them for a free exclusive JQ Beer Weekend T-shirt (limited availability). The 2026 design once again features the event’s popular mascot, Gary the Gull.
While best known for its jewellery-making heritage, the Jewellery Quarter has also become one of Birmingham’s most exciting food and drink destinations. Beer lovers can expect everything from traditional real ales and classic lagers to cutting-edge craft beer, with several venues brewing beer right here in the Quarter, including Burning Soul Brewery, Indian Brewery Taproom and Rock & Roll BrewHouse.
JQ Beer Weekend is designed to be inclusive and easy-going, with family-friendly pubs, dog-friendly venues, beer gardens and roof terraces all part of the mix. Many venues will also be serving food, ranging from pub favourites to international dishes. Across the three days, visitors can enjoy special events and offers, including live music, DJs and drink promotions. Full details will be listed in the sticker book, including locations and venue-specific activities.
