RBSA Gallery
About This Business
Housed in a repurposed warehouse since its relocation in 2000—a move inaugurated by Prince Charles—the RBSA Gallery maintains its status as an artist-led charity and accredited museum. It preserves a permanent collection exceeding 1,000 artworks, along with archival catalogues, letters, and records that chronicle two centuries of Birmingham’s art heritage.
The Society is committed to nurturing visual arts engagement through a diverse calendar of free exhibitions, workshops, and artist demonstrations held within its three floors of gallery space.
The on-site Gallery Shop showcases locally-made crafts—from jewellery and textiles to ceramics and prints—supporting Midlands designer-makers and adding an immersive retail dimension to the arts experience. Fully accessible and free to enter, the RBSA Gallery invigorates the historic quarter with dynamic artistic programming, community workshops, and a rich archival legacy—ideal for curious locals and visitors alike.
