Keane launches ‘Made in Brum’ to provide one Birmingham independent business with a fully funded strategic branding package.
Thirty years after opening its first studio in Birmingham, hospitality consultancy and creative studio
Keane is celebrating its milestone by giving back to the city where its story began.
To mark its 30th anniversary, the Birmingham-founded creative studio has launched Made in Brum – an initiative offering one local independent business complimentary access to Keane’s strategic branding expertise, helping them strengthen their brand and build a platform for future growth.

Founded in Birmingham, Keane has grown from a local creative studio to being internationally
recognised, partnering with ambitious organisations across the UK and around the world to create
brands, places and spaces people fall in love with. While its work now spans multiple markets, the
business remains proudly rooted in Birmingham.
Rather than marking the anniversary with a traditional celebration, Keane wanted to invest its expertise back into the city’s independent business community, recognising the entrepreneurs, makers and hospitality businesses that continue to define Birmingham’s character.
To launch the initiative, the Keane team will be visiting independent businesses across the city, meeting owners, sharing the story behind Made in Brum and celebrating the people driving Birmingham’s independent business scene.
Applications are open to all eligible Birmingham independent businesses, with full details available at
https://thisiskeane.com/made-in-brum/ and across Keane’s social media channels.

Dave Cressey, Managing Partner at Keane, said:
“We’ve proudly called Birmingham home for 30 years and it’s still a huge part of who we are. While our work now takes us across the UK and around the world, we’ve never forgotten where we began.
Over those three decades, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside many of Birmingham’s
independent hospitality businesses, chefs and entrepreneurs, helping shape some of the venues, brands and experiences that have become part of the city’s story.
Hospitality has always been at the heart of how we think. It’s not just the sector we work in; it’s the lens through which we approach every challenge. Whether we’re shaping a brand, a place or a space, our aim is always to create experiences that people fall in love with.
Made in Brum is our way of giving something back to the city that helped shape us by sharing that
expertise with another Birmingham business and, hopefully, playing a small part in its next chapter.”
The winning business will benefit from a bespoke package designed to elevate its customer experience, including a full brand audit, refreshed menu design and communications, creative art direction and photography, and a suite of social media assets to help bring its story to life.
Applications are now open and will close on Friday 31st July.
